BIR-TIN ID Replacement

7:00 AM

When I requested my first TIN ID I made a mistake and had it laminated without my signature. :P

After four years, I decided to replace it because it's not valid without a signature and it is one of the identifications that do not expire.

Additionally, the Tax Identification Number (TIN) ID Card is a government-issued identification card recognized as one of the valid IDs in the Philippines.

I am currently employed so I ask our Human Resource specialist where can I find the RDO (Revenue District Office) of our company. Alternatively, you can visit the website of the Bureau of Internal Revenue for their RDO.

You need to have the following before you get to apply/request a replacement for your TIN ID:
- At least two valid government-issued ID with photo
- While other BIR-RDO are strict and will ask you to present an NSO/PSA Birth Certificate
- Bring the old ID (for damaged and/or if you forgot to sign the card)
- Affidavit of loss (If you lost your card)

STEPS ON HOW TO REPLACE TIN ID:

  • Go to your local BIR office/RDO in your city or town

  • Complete the 0605 form, then submit it to the counter and present at least one valid ID.

  • Since my TIN ID is not lost I no longer need to provide an Affidavit of loss, but I'm required to pay PHP 100 to replace the card.

  • TIN Issuance form

You can get the replacement within the day, especially if you went to the correct RDO of your work, if not, they'll let you know where is your Revenue District Office. However,if there's a high volume of applicants at the time of your request, then you may be asked to come back the following day.

TIPS:

- Write down your Tax Identification Number (existing taxpayer)
- Don’t forget to bring a ball pen
- Extra money
- Don’t hesitate to ask what to do

For more information, you can visit the BIR Website.
