Carmex Lipbalm - Review

I've tried a lot of lip balm brands and they always have a special place on my lips I mean in my heart because before I became a fan of bullet type lipsticks and liquid lipsticks I started using lip balms.
For a late bloomer like me lip balms are my best buddies whenever I need a hint of color plus help to keep my lips hydrated throughout the day.
I became a lip balm addict when I started working to the point that in every corner of our house, purse, bag, and pocket you can find it, I even collected the cutest packaging of lip moisturizer. :D
My current favorite is Carmex-Moisturizing lip balm. I mean there's a lot of affordable balms that you can get, so why Carmex?
I was hesitant to purchase the said lip balm because it's a bit expensive for a budgetarian (

I found that the rice glue scent is the salicylic acid, which is one of the ingredients including camphor, menthol and Shea butter. I thought I’m going to stop using it because of the weird scent, but I continue it for a week since I like the cooling effect of menthol.
Carmex is available in 3 variants:
Classic/Original in a Jar
- I bought it from Shopwise on sale for only PHP 75.00 (without the paper packaging).
- Cooling sensation
- Colorless
- This one is not hygienic since it has a risk of contamination because you need to dip your finger to scoop and apply the product onto your lips.
- Dries off to a semi-matte finish that’s why I love to use this on top of my lip tint since this variant is colorless.
Classic Click Stick
- This is my personal favorite variant of Carmex since I’m working in a fully air-conditioned office and if you feel uncomfortable with dipping your fingers in the pot this one's for you. I got this from Watsons for PHP 150.
- Cooling sensation
- Colorless
- It’s strengthened with SPF 15 that will protect your puckers from the harmful UV rays while keeping my chapped lips hydrated thanks to its thick yet softer, and buttery consistency.
Squeeze tube
- For PHP 150 you'll get 10g. This is perfect If you want to achieve the sexy-glossy lips of Kylie Jenner because of its liquid consistency.
- Colorless
- Gives a nice cooling sensation to your lips, however, the tube variant of Carmex has not had sun protection.
It can be used as an antiseptic for bites, burns and minor cuts. You can even use it to moisturize your feet, elbows, and cuticles since it’s handy plus a little goes a long way. That’s why Carmex has earned its place in my kikay kit.
